SP2 shock onto an NC35?

I see this modification commonly done on the NC30, but I never hear any talk of people trying it with the NC35. I've got the shock already, but I'm leary of taking the bike apart if its not going to work.
Any ideas?

It will fit pretty much the same as an nc30, bear in mind that if the gas reserve mounts on the shock you'll need to move the battery.

Thank you,
Since I just dropped the bike this morning, I'm going to attempt the change during the week while I replace the various other pieces that are broken now.

Does anyone have any pictures of how they mounted the battery when they moved it? I searched the old site, and none of the pictures are still hosted there. Just trying to plan this out before I start cutting things.

Its probably going tp be easier to make some of your own leads and locate the battery underseat

You mean under the rear seat? I don't think it will fit in there very well. I was just going to trim the underside of the hugger and try and move the batter rearward an inch or two.
If there is somewhere else on the bike to put it, I will, but I don' think mounting it on the front is going to work with the headers running that close

Why not look for a smaller battery itself?
IMO the SP shock is not going to be the silver bullet. The drawbacks of excessive shock length and the removal of the battery are more ballache than I can take
Saying that...I am happy for you to get it on and sorted and then let us know how good it is

I'm looking for a smaller battery now. To be honest, if I lived in Europe, this wouldn't be such a problem, but there is a dearth of available products here in the USA for this bike. Also, with our dollar being practically worthless, it makes buying things from overseas more than its worth.
Also, I actually want to increase the rear ride height quite a bit, so I'm ok with that part, and I bought the shock with very little mileage on it for $30.00, which is probably the price of a sandwich in Europe, and I can get it re-sprung and re-valved very cheaply as well.
Just messed around a bit more and figured out how to mount it under the seat with minimal modifications, a slimmer batter will help as well if I can find one. Not so happy about putting weight up higher and at the rear, but if it is severely detrimental, then I'll just go back to the normal shock and save up for a real upgrade later.

There are other options, someone on here mounted it under the engine, endurance trim RC30 style.
There are heaps of battery sizes, usually simply size coded. A YT4 or similar is pretty small, will probably be adequate for the road if your charging system is tip top (i.e. non original!), and will fit in lots of useful spots.

Hmm, might have just added one more thing ontothe to-do list.
