not sure how much experience you've had with seals. so don't be offended. they need to be driven in. you can't simply push them in. You need either a driver of the right size, or to make one out of pvc the size of the outer diamter of the seal. I have also split to old seals in half and used one half gently as a driver and slow work around circumferentially. Its easy to ruin the seal doing that however. So if you are new to it, get the right driver or make one from PVC pipe - either buy the right diamter to fit over the slider - if you can find the perfect diameter , cut long strips along the PVC tube to allow it to narrow on itself to fit perfectly and use zip ties to hold at that diameter. I also found on the rvf that its very easy to 'overdrive' the seal in place. so check frequently and just get it in far enough so the circlip can fit under the lip on the fork.
ask a buddy for some hands on advice if you haven't done before.
good luck

lol, no offence taken 911f. i am a haynes manual DIY'er. first time working on fork seals. Graham, is it the one tool for all these models forks. i would have an nc30 with late spec forks also. so the RVF tool would work with these aswell?
cheers
