First Track Day

Just thought I'd share that I had my first track day on the 13th. Was incredible and would recommend one to anyone and everyone. The bike was great too, worked well round Pembrey as the track isn't to big nor are the straights to long. Definitely caught the bug and hope to do three more this year (Llandow, Mallory and Pembrey again).

Cadwell is awsome for 400s as is dono and Oulton..Llandow and Mallory are fun and cheap but are really just massive roundabouts LOL

Bit of an odd question (hope you dont mind my asking) but what license do you have. Im on 33bhp lic just now and cant seem to find any track days that will let me on

jack im the same, i dont think you can do track days on a restricted licence.
the only way you can is if you get an acu novice race licence. which is 50 quid for test the 50 quid a year i think.

B*ll*cks.
Thanks Chowder, as I feared then. Fraid I dont have the time or money for racing
Race lic. probs aint the way for me.
A couple of people have told me they wont check the license, i.e. pink colour thats ok, but I dont fancy being turned away with no refund

no i dont reckon its worth it, especially if you have to travel far to a track just to get turned away.
you only have to wait 2 years anyway.

Don't let having a restricted license put you off MSV,
http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will not let you ride any of there circuits on a restricted license but there are plenty of tracks you can ride Donington, Rockingham and I think Mallory but not 100% to name a few, best bet is to find a trackday you want to do and call the organizer and just ask them they will know for sure.

I think you can do Lydden Hill on a restricted licence.
Dickdastardly, I was actually at Pembrey for a bit on Saturday and saw you there on track - was out for a cycle ride with a couple of friends with our aim being Pembrey Park, on the way I remembered it was the Met's trackday so came to the track for a bit. Did Owen sort out the 600?
