Hi guys,
I ran in to a small issue last night when trying to get my 21 to start up, and to cut a long story short, I need a replacement tap filter.
I've contacted David silver spares, but been told they don't supply them, does anyone know where I can get one of these?
Thanks,
Dale

Waaaay ahead if you, looked on there earlier today, and theres only a '24 tank - its got no fuel tap with it though.
My other thought was to not worry about the in tank filter, as the tap itself is fine, but to get an inline one to drop in the fuel line.
My only concern about this is if i get any crap in the tank, it could potentially block the tap up - not a huge issue in itself, but annoying sat on the side of the A1 with the standard toolkit trying to fix.....

In theory you should be able to fix it fairly easily with the standard tool kit at it's 3 x 10mm bolts for the tank and 2 x 10mm bolts for the tap!
Just hope the tanks not full, and it would be a bit of a ballache at the side of the road.
I'd go with an inline filter... or you could try and get one from another bike and mod it to fit? you might be able to get some gauze available to repair the old one with!?
The tap / filter are long discontiniued.
Looking for one online every so often is probably the best way, im sure the inline would be ok in the mean time.

Hehehe - indeed, fingers crossed it doesnt happen!
Just ordered myself an cleanable inline filter - i will probably see if i can repair the standard one, or shove it back in anyway.
Wanted someone else to confirm my thoughts and know i was on the right lines :)

Oh man. I just remembered mine had holes all round the bottom part of it when i got the bike.

Some wa*ker had pushed a screwdriver or something through it (prob. trying to get it out)

I just cut the damaged part off it and stuck it back in with blue hylomar sealant.

petrol resistant.
Never had any probs. since.

I use one of these, Replace the piping from the carbs to the tank so I could fit it in but it fits and works fine.
Just like the tank one.. you can take it apart to clean it too which is way better than the cheap disposable ones
