Hi everybody at 400greybike!
Just looking for opinions and advice on what to do?
Obiously the site has a bias towards the little 400's just gathering advice here anyway from long term members.
I've had 2 mint nc30's and one mint nc35 over the last 6 years in between bigger machines such as cbr600fx cbr600rr, S.F. 918 blade and yam r1. But never had a problem going down the capicity scale as well as back up through the ranks. As i found the agility of the 400's compersated for the power and the backroads over here in Ireland are twisty and poor surfaced enough a lot of the time to render the extra power useless a lot of the time.
Currently though finances went low and downgraded to another nc30, but a rough track hacked machine needing a fair bit of money to put right. My dilmema is ive been offered a trade on a k4 gixxer 600 mint condision with myself making up the cash difference. The owner wants a cheap track bike and cheaper older k1 1000 gixxre as his road bike.
My nc30 has some nice parts on it though and i love driving it on the road despite the lack of power compared to the big new stuff out there. It has yamoto 3/4 system, tyga air box rick oliver carbs,r.o. fork internals, rvf doglegs, tyga armour, goodridge braided lines, damper and deresricted and running well. All wiring and road gear put back on in working order.
It has full fairing but rough track fibre glass fairing and rough denented rvf tank so basically its just cosmetic and i was going to go the evil bay route or even take a chance on hong kong fairing.
So i estmate it will cost me about €1200 euro for the repair and the bike cost me as is €800. Should I sell as is or pump a fair wedge of cash into the nc30.
Thanks in advance for any input.
