I have bought Sam Horney engine, but flywheel was removed. Because I have to use bike both road and track I like to make flywheel ligther to not lossing BHP. How much I can remove from stock flywheel ?

It's difficult to describe Parus, but if you look at the edge of the flywheel you will see a lip, you can have someone lathe the flywheel down to that lip safely, and that takes off about 30% of the total weight.

I'd done this in the past and had no issues with the fly wheel.

This way also leaves you some of the timing marks on the flywheel for setting up your cams!

Yes!

Thats the one Parus. Machine it down to the level of the lip and you take off a good weight percentage.

I think this question to Greggo, but like to hear other opinion as well. What is the critical point for flywheel to michined it down?
