are there any alternative options for the 3tj rear caliper.mine is minging and really needs putting out of its misery and as the hybrid is having atotal refurb i didnt want to leave it on the bike.or has anybody got a (very) tidy rear tj caliper for sale.ive been digging around for some info on rear calipers and the only match i can make spacing wise is a huge brembo off a mid nineties bmw.any ideas chaps?

I've seen a few that you'd think would fit ... but they don't.

The Early Fazer 600 is a exact match, just made a good un from a fzr3tj and fzs600. And if your lucky enough to find one for decent money a FZS1000 bluespot fits with a mod to the caliper holder.

cheers for that rammy,i like the idea of the fzs1000 blue spot,any idea whats involved modding the tj caliper hanger? and the early fazer caliper is that a straight bolt on? im going straight to see whats on e-bay!!!!!!

Not sure, all i know is i bought a 1000fzs blue spot for the 600 fazer and whilst i was waiting for it to come noticed the 3tj caliper i had lurking was exactly the same. If its anything like the fzs for the 1000 blue spot to fit all i had to do was grind the caliper holder a little to accomodate a slightly bigger casting approx 3mm easy mod and a better brake to boot. Like rocking horse shit though 1000 blue spots one on ebay for 90 quid (owch)
