Race Fairings Lowers

Bit of an odd question here chaps, but came to me in a (almost) brainwave today while scrubbing salt and other road crap off the bottom of the bike / exhaust.

I seen race fairing lowers for sale, they mentioned they were ACU ok as they had the catch tank at the bottom.

Question is, will these fit on a road bike (with what afaik is ss copy of standard pipes).
Reason i ask is if it completly encases the whole exhaust underneath the bike surely this would make my winter ride/scrub routine that bit easier. Stopping salt and crap getting onto exhaust in the first place.

Jac.

no it would just trap more of it in . standard lowers let it drain out via the big hole in the bottom

you could try wrapping parts of them with fibreglass matt. This would stop anything sticking to the pipes themselves..

I was initially thinking of cutting a few slots to allow rain/crap to drain away. I know the front of the exhaust is going to get as dirty as normal, plan was to keep most of the crap away from where it merges to 2 onwards. As my current fairing lowers are joined at front, then open underneath the whole way back

However, il bear fibreglass wrap in mind for next winter. May save me much scrubbing time. Altho, thankfully, the pipes have held up amazingly well none the less
