I can't see my NC30 getting much use in the next month or so.
I was wondering when leaving it standing is it best to have the fuel tap switched to the off postition or doesn't it matter?
Thanks, Phil.

I'd leave it off just in case. The taps are getting old and a leak into the cylinders, if your carbs also play up, is not a good thing.

Yeah I'd go with off too. Better to be safe than sorry. Oil aint a cheap thing if petrol ends up in there with it! Unlikely, but it can happen.

I'd probably turn the tap off then run the engine to clear fuel out of line/carbs.

I did think about switching it off then running it to dry but I don't think it'll be left that long to justify that. I'll just stick it to off for now.
Cheers.

Some people who have carb problems, turn their fuel tap off every time they turn the bike off.
One thing I've been wondering, how many times can you turn the fuel tap on/off before its knackered? Surely you incur wear on it from turning it on/off all the time.
I doubt its designed to be turned on/off every day?
Not just the risk of replacing the oil, can also damage the engine.
