hi everyone,

i have a 1989 CBR400 NC23,

which i am rebuilding, as the bike did not come with any farings other than the nose cone, i was wondering how many brackets are there that the OEM fairings need? i have just purchased a set of three from ebay,

if anybody knows of any other brackets or fixings i will need it would be much appreciated

cheers Tom

one from the main frame to the frame rails each side
one from the sump to the belly pan each side
one from the lower frame to the rear belly pan each side
hope this helps

You better start saving to buy these brackets.

When i got my NC23 i found that i could lift the entire amount of the bodywork a good inch!!

I looked into it and found i was 2 brackets missing. The ones that attatch to the fairings between the middle fairing and the lower fairing and then the bracket attatches to the frame.

Anyway, i bought both brackets and including shipping they cost me £85!!!
I'll find you the site, i think i'm in need of some more brackets aswell :(

The website itself. It's currently on the NC23 RRJ, if you have the RRK model then search it in the top bar.

This is an exploded diagram off bodywork/brakcets etc on the bike
