bike stolen

write okay my fzr was stolen last night/early hours of this morning seeing the damage its going to be written of i asked my insurance about buying it back as salvage was told they do not do that anymore now just waiting to see how much they will offer me probably fuck all

You have the bike in your possession ???
Keep it and don't surrender the V5 to them.
If they write the bike off then they'll offer you the value they think it's worth, get a couple of adverts and if you have your orginal bill of sale.
Then negotiate, remember they're obligation is to return it to the condition it was before it got stolen, not showroom.
Make a list of what you need and post it up

no i havent got the bike it is at the local police compound £150 release fee and £12 per day storage fee basically its going to need a genesis fairing frame top fairing plus they have damaged the rear plastics as well which are from a 3en1 let the games begin

Something don't seem right here - your bike was nicked and the police are charging you to release it?

Sounds like the Police had it as evidence .... but what ever.
Honestly - I'd let it go, take the cash and buy another bike, if you do it now you'll get more for your money because it's winter

spoke to the insurance today have a guess what on there database my bike has been written off in the past but there is no mention of it on the v5 the lady did say that it may be a mistake on there database yet another excuse for a shity offer but a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel been asked if i would be interested in a 98 fazer been stood for 5 years under cover no tax and mot almost forgot got a micron stainless system for a fzr600 that i may be getting rid off with a carbon end can

Standing a bike for so long isn't great ... all the rubber gets hardened which is bad news for seals etc. I'd probably avoid it.
How much are they offering ???

havent had a offer yet got to send the v5 and mot and both sets of keys and a questionare of what happened of to the insurance then they will make me an offer going to have a look at the fazer as i need transport for work also in the motorcycle part of the college i work for they have a fazer which was donated to the college after a accident front end basically gone as it was donated they cant sell it but i have been given the go ahead to rob bits if i need to i know wjat your saying though mr evil

dont send off the v5 etc you dont need to its your bike by law tell them to make you an offer you dont need to except it haggle with them otherwise if they have the v5 they have you over a barrel
