any of you lovely people out there got the paint codes for the 1990 fzr400rrsp 3tj2? my trusty old sp hybrid has earned itself a bit of a refurb now its not being regularly chucked in the back of van and used on track.i did consider a roberts/haga/fag paint job but i like the standard colours so much i couldnt bring myself to change it.

not sure if it helps or not but i went down this path about 8 months ago to spray my top fairing. I approached Yamaha to get the codes and was told that they don't give them out.
They forwarded me onto RS racepaint, where i brought some rather overpriced spray cans & preceeded to screw up the painting, which i must revisit at some point this year.
The white is known as silky white and comes in a base white & a pearl. I don't think they have a fancy name for the red.
I don't have the codes but i definately have the dregs of a can of the white & pearl, if your painter could match it then i'd gladly grab some as well.
Unless of course, he can do a good deal on spraying 2 rrsp hybrids

Think about it this way ... white pearl and then get a near match for the red they're both Yamaha colours so they're used on other bikes
Your unlikeley to park it next to another FZR400 and if you did that paint would have faded anyway.
You can buy the motorbike paint from a few places and he'll mix it for use in his gun.
Ask if he'll do more than one bike ... it could work out a bit cheaper
I used RS Paint for the project Phil and I did
