Hey guys,

Ive got an nc23 that is just sitting there as i no longer have the time to fix her only thing wrong with her now is that i cant get the engine to start. she's had a new set of carbs, wiring loom, tank and even the coils have been replaced.

The fairing isn't mint but it aint too bad either, usual marks for a 20y/o bike however one of the seat fairings has almost snapped in half (could repair it with plastiweld), its even got the fairing infill panels (afaik they're rarer than rocking horse sh*t) again not perfect but repairable.

Everything except the end can (Art stainless jobbie) and DB screen is standard.

I've even got shite loads of spares for her ranging from a spare engine head and cylinder bores to spare carbs, old petrol tank ect... (just too many too list)

Image
only pic ive got of her atm but could probs get more.

Cheers,
Adam,

Probably around the £600-700 mark.. depends when you sell it though..maybe more? Lovely set of fairings ;)

I would love to get hold of the fairing infil panels in RWB...

So the engine just isnt starting?? Have you double checked all the plugs.. are they wet after trying to start?

Were the new parts fitted in an attempt to get the engine working, or is it just from being stood for a while?

all the parts (apart from the fuel tank) have been bought to get her started, im probs gonna check the plugs in the next couple of days to see if that could be the problem, still don't know about the gearbox though... tis a nightmare to get it into gear.

May be that the clutch is sticking making it hard to get into gear and thats why its not starting too? Try roling the bike back or forward and then changing gear.. Put it in second and give her a bump start carefully... :peace:

Now then mate - You must be going soft - that is too nice a bike to not get going. You will not get sod all for it otherwise.

What does it do, or not do when you are tying to start it? :ugeek:

Do you have a thread on here about it already? If not, get one going and you know the 400GB massive will help you sort it out. :ninja:

These bikes are simple beasts at the end of the day - as long as you feed them fuel, sparks and air and that the insides are not bent or rotted..then they'll go.

We are talking Honda power!!

On the money - I would not spend more than £300 on a non running bike. :o

Get it running, gotta be worth triple than a non runner. Where in the uk are you? Surely someone must be close by to help you out. As Mark says, get a thread going. That is one lovely bike, especially with the infils which are like hens teeth to get hold of.

Chris.

Am based in Lowestoft, Suffolk. (near Gt Yarmouth if that helps lol).
TBH i really dont want to get rid of it, i'd rather sell my fzr600 genesis.
Now if i can sort the FZR this week and can get permission from the missus to spend most of next week at my mothers (where the CBR is located) i'll get my arse in gear to try get her working! :)

Heck whats a Black FZR6 genesis with minor fairing damadge worth these days? (anyone want one? t&t at 12 months).

One of them must go shamefully... even got a GPZ600 at my dads that i gotta get rid of...

and any problems i may come accross i will post on here :)

cheers guys,
Adam.
