What are the pros and cons for putting rvf NC35 carbs on my 91' NC30? I know there was alink on here a few months back, just wondered if it was worth doing?? or would add any performance /better running??

i did just this about 3 months ago and i think they do benefit, mid range feels stronger and it's not lacking the top end pull that the '30 carbs have.

to do the conversion you'll need
'35 carbs
'35 cables
idle adjuster

the '30 choke cable fits and works sort of but if you can fit the '35 choke somewhere it doesn't look just throw on it might work better than the '30 one.

the only draw back if found is i think the '30 carbs were a little more forgiving, if you were in the wrong gear with my '30 carbs it seemed to pull you out of the low revs quicker were the '35 ones take a little longer but this could be a couple of things, my '30 carbs had 120's all round,FI needles and the '35 ones just 115's all round no fancy needles. if the '35 carbs get set up on a dyno maybe they would pull from any rev in any gear.

cheers Rhori, thought i read somewhere that they performed slightly better, something to think about, i missed a set on ebay along with a set of rvf usd forks yesterday. Think i might take a punt on the igntech module that Rick sells for my next mod.

Wise choice mister! Make sure you pick the correct map to suit your style of riding, choosing the wrong map can make no difference in performance at all.

I fitted RVF carbs a couple of years ago and they have been great. At the time I noticed that they had faster pickup and were not lacking up top either.

Worth a punt...

I also have an ignitech and a lighter GSXR rotor so it spins up bloody fast nowadays :ninja:
