Preparing a Track Bike

I am turning my NC29 into a track bike for a few track days around Brands Hatch next year and I am planning to take off the lights etc. I was wondering what I do with the wires from the Headlight etc, do I just disconnect them and use tape to tape the ends up? Anybody got any tips? Cheers.

set all suspension settings back to factory base settings they are a good base start. Look on race forums for tire pressures,
Have fun!!!!!!!!

It's up to you. You can leave all the stuff on the bike if you want.
Best bet is FG fairings, and removal of lights and mirrors.
Most tracks race pressures on a 400 are 29 - 30 but be prepared to go higher in the wet or if it's cold.
Fresh fork oil is a must and decent pads, but to be honest if you are using the brakes a lot on a 400, you need to reassess and carry more corner speed keeping it smooth.
Double bubble is a worthwhile investment and a 14 tooth front sprocket

Have a word with Graeme France, I happen to know he has a second hand race fairing and a set of scrubbed pirellis for sale at a giveaway price, almost went for them myself (even though I dont need them)
If you're considering putting the bike back on the road after, or to sell it as a roadbike it would be worth looking into a secondhand tank, dont worry about what state its in, you'll only need 6-7 litres at a time.

Supercorsas are great on warm days but 090's are as good and work better if the conditions are less than perfect.
I have 090's on my bike and take full wets and Super Corsas with me but Its so easy just to leave the 090's on

Very valid point, 090's are a lot closer to being an "inter", certainly a lot more rideable in the wet.

be careful of 'standard' tyre pressures, they depend on manufacturer, seek advise from the supplier, not someone else who runs the same bike on different tyres.

33 -33 for the road on 090's or 36 rear with a passenger and around 30 - 30 for track. You can up or down if you are in fast by 1psi depending on track conditions and how warm it is

whos fitting your tyres, if you use a tyre fitting service check they are not using nitrogen, completely different pressures
