Can anyone tell me of a more modern looking tail unit I could put on my track bike I am building. Any ideas welcome I'm up for a bit of fabricating just need what best option is...cheers

Funny you should mention that, A friend of mine is building a 23 race bike, we've taken the rear seat unit off of my SP1 and we're trying to do something with that because it will fit the standard subframe with a couple of small brackets.

Im seeing matt tomorrow so il try to get some pics etc.

Hi ive used gsxr k7 superbike seat unit on both bikes and looks great cheers.

Thanks for that mate....was thinkin of takin the seat unit off my k4 gixer 1000 to see what that looked like and how easy it would be to fit one, think I'll give it a try....if it looks like it will fit ok I'll maybe get a k4 race unit...still a bit to go with the bike before I get to that stage though, I've just got it stripped and will now be cleaning, polishing and powder coating before putting it back together.

early cbr600rr looks good, fits easily, infact the whole fairing does.

What year fairing is that?

Do you still have the bike? If you do could you take some pictures of any mods to the fairing brackets?

i think it was a early 600rr, 2001/2002? i sold the bike years ago so cant take any piictures, its annoying, i wrote a fitting guide with pictures and full explanation not long after fitting it for someone but dont seem to be able to find it, think it on my old computer, pretty simple though. it was mainly spacers and long bolts rather than backets, the top fairiny stay was started fropm scratch. any more info just drop me an email and i will try and remember everything.
