Steam cleaning the Engine - Good idea or bad??

Post by marty400 »

Hiya All,

Steam cleaning the Engine - Good idea or bad??

I'm thinking the Spark plug recesses - would that be a good way to get the crap out?

But really hot steam - how will that affects the electical wires around the bike? what about the hosing, and any plastic lug holes etc??

Hope you can advise!

Cheers
Martin

PS:

I used the neighbours steam cleaner to defrost the fridge. He also said it was used for steam cleaning car engines.... but what aobut bike engines?!?!!?

I have done this before and it came out really well..

Just be sure to cover up inlets and outlets.. should be fine.. cant say for 100% certain though as I'm no expert..
