just been out to the shed to have a tinker on my nc30 and found that the hose from the front brake reservoir to master cylinder has split and leaked brake fluid all over my nice, freshly painted top yoke and fork bottoms.

would it be ok to just to replace this with just normal rubber hose or has it got to have the braided material around it?

the important thing isn't the outer braid, it's that it needs to be non-hydroscopic
