4DX cdi related query

I'm in the process of sorting my 4dx track bike out and one mod i've done is to 'chop' the speedo of a spare set of clocks (from a 3tj) so that i can just have the rev counter and temp gauge.

I've read plenty of threads about the restriction in the jap spec 3tj and how you go about removing it (kph/mph converter, derestricted cdi etc.....), but my question is this; as i have the UK spec model will removing the speedo have any 'restricting' effect on the motor?

I did have to do a bit of re-wiring to mate the 3tj clocks to the 4dx loom, not sure if this complicates the issue?

I'd take it out for a blast to see if there's any probs but now it's stripped for the track thats a bit tricky

Wont make any difference if the clocks are removed when running a 4dx cdi.
