When did you last change the plugs? There have been cases in the past where plugs spark fine outside the engine but are too worn to spark inside the engine.
The richness wont be helping your plugs too much. What you need to find out is where the A/F screws are on the NC24's carbs and maybe get a new set of plugs.
Neo' and the rest of the NC24 guys should be able to help you out when they see this thread.

My first thoughts are that you have distubred the coils / plug caps and this has revealed a bad connection.
The NC24 uses 4 separate coils as opposed to 2 on the later bikes.
The spade connectors often corrode and the plug leads might have degraded.
Check that the spade connectors on the coils are ok and the plug leads are located properly into the coils... Get a plug out and put it into the plug cap and hold the plug to the frame and crank the bike and check for a spark.
You'll probably find it's either the spades / plug leads / earths / bad connections between plug and cap. (wd-40 and some scothbrite on the terminals helps)
If you don't see a spark try one of the plugs from the front cylinder to isolate the plug.
If you still don't see a spart try connecting one of the front coils to the rear connectors and see.
Let me know how you get on.
I had a bike that wouldn't fire on cylinder 3, there was a broken spade connector i'd disturbed when moving the rad

All your plugs are sparking? Thats interesting.
The NC24 plus are more durable than the NC30 plugs...
Swap the plugs front plugs for the rears and vice versa and see what happens before you splash out on a new set, as their still £6 each.
A poorly fitting spark plug cap may be the cause here then, until i got a replacment my Cyl #1 would sometimes stop firing unless I jiggled the cap.
See how that goes first

thanks neo i will do that
my bike idles on 2 cylindars and when i pull off and the revs pick up then the other 2 kick in
do you think i did the valve clearances wrong some how? or do you think it be dirty carbs?
sorry for the stupid questions
