so going off what i was told today, the certificates are not needed? So long as the bike is restricted i can ride it on a restricted licence?

Im after the 4 washers to fit in a cbr400 nc29 anyway, if anyone knows the sizes that would help too, or where to get hold of some.

well, a few people have said. Theres somthing that was just in mcn wasnt there? Havnt read it but iv been told by others there not needed, why i posted this in general hoping others could comment but it got moved! =[

I tried to find the thing everyone was telling me about online but had no joy.

My instructor was telling me today that apparently the certificate isnt needed by he police or insurance companies and its juts a big ripp off.

So i dont know, im the same as you, im not wanting to go and pay over £200 to have it fitted when i know its 4 washers and a 2 minuet job.

there are just 2 things you need.....
1) 33bhp restrictor washer kit.....
2) a dyno machine with a printer!

1)- fit the kit
2)- run bike on dyno and get a print out of bhp.
3)- the print out is your proof of 33bhp restriction.

2yrs later, remove washer kit and sell on to someone else who needs em..

Just tryna find the washers somwhere, i went to my local shop and for a resrtrictor kit it was £180 and £40 to fit it, is that just 4 washers or is there more to thease "kits" ?

the cost is development! they had to figure out what size hole would do the job!
+ the fancy certificate! rip off if you ask me!

ahh sweet i think i will get a dyno then an i was quoted 180 for the washers an 130 for fittin how much of a rip off is that
