Cam chain tensioner

Post by badgerKDD »

Hi, as said in my introduction I'm after some help locating a cam chain tensioner for my 93 Bandit, old one not working right. I'm debating the cheaper option of a second hand one over the more expensive but longer lasting new one. Either way any help in a good supplier of said bitz would be really appreciated :D !

I see my tensioner is seized.
Is there anyway to strip it and give it a new
lease on life ? Anyone maybe got an exploded
view on one. The manual basically says if it
doesnt work replace it....

Hi mate,
Its not rebuildable. You got to replace as if it backs off the cam chain wil jump on the sprokets and the valvetrain will not be happy, usually brake the followers.
I think ive got one in the bits box if you need one?
Chris.
