SP Fork Stanchion Length? & Rechrome or buy new?
Hi All
Can any one tell me the the fork stanchion length of my SP forks fitted to my 3TJ
I am thinking of buying a new set from All Bike Engineering but they show 2 lenghts 298mm and 210mm.
My other question is do I buy new or rechrome the ones I have?
What have others done and can they recomend any one.
Looking for the cheapest route
The seals have been changed a couple of times know and still leek.
The stanchions are only lightly pitted so could there be another problem like worn slide bushes?
Many thank for your help

Mine where badly rusted and I had the stanchoins replaced. I don't know who supplied them but the forks were done by RaceLab in Bournemouth so maybe ask them.
f it's just light pitting you can probably get them rechromed .... or that ti nitrate couloured coating, costs about £100 though.

raceLab set up my Bim through the Bimota Enthuiasts club, we all ride down there, so I had their number and gave them a call. As you can imagine finding stanchions isn't easy and it worked out cheaper to get them made.
If yours can be rechromed then go that way

Evil - just for future reference, who did you get to do your nitriding?
I can't afford it at the moment, but my rgv could do with a bit of work on its fork/pogo-stick things.

Not really - other than talking to Race Lab and finding who they use
