This little gem landed on the doorstep this morning, cheers ABR

Im not planning ram air just yet, but i couldnt resist picking this up and now im itching to fit it. My question is has anyone run this type of box without ram air spec carbs???
At the moment im running a HRC tray, no snorkle and a thin layer of foam, the bike also ran fine before without the hrc tray and no rubber flap strangely enough so im thinking this setup can only be a better version of what i have now??? or not??

i used a super bodge ram air setup and it caused the fuelling to wig out - nasty midrange vibes.

sacked that and use no lid now... it works lovely

If you want any help with it, just gimme a shout. I felt it worked well on my track-bike, but never had it set-up on the drum though.

my old race bike used no lid just hrc set up bottom tray. Had a few other hrc bits and it was such a crisp motor just kept reving. dyno centre said it was the best power curve he ever seen for a 400.

Hi, i could be well off the mark here, but cant you just plumb the tank breather into the air box as well, to save using a fuel pump?
Wouldnt the positive pressure( in the air box) equal to the tank then you'd still have the head pressure as normal?
Just a thought.
Cheers

That's way over my head in terms of knowledge but thanks for the input I'm sure one of the ram air boffins will know what you mean tho. I'm considering buying a complete ram air carb setup from ABR which will pretty much be plug and play but need to raise some funds first as the credit card has taken a beating lately.
