Fellas..

o-ring xring...which is better? or which should i choose?

am i right in thinking the nc-30 has no cush drive hence better opting for an x-ring? or is that the other way round (o-ring?!)

any advice would be good, as i need to replace em..

also, Brake pads..which are best? i havent replaced em on an nc-30 before as ive only had the bike 6 months and ridden 2400km..so havent needed doing but are getting done over winter.

tyres, im going with a fresh set of bt090's as they've never let me down :)

right now... whats the best stuff to clean the bike up with. ive recently had all the orginal honda plastics off and cleaned em front and back..but im looking at cleaning the swing arm/wheel internals (in the spoke grooves) and the rest of the engine forks etc etc...and i dont want to dismantle the engine as its running sweet, just clean it up and get the grit out etc after my long ride to london on the M1 last weekend!

any advice, or a list of things i could do to keep my hands busy over the next couple months would be nice!

Thanks guys. ;)

I've always used O-Ring chains and never had a problem...im sure there are more experienced users on here who could give you a better idea on that area.

BT090's - Great choice, never used anything else on mine.

Brake pads - I use genuine Honda with EBC discs and they work great, ive covered 5,000km's and there still like new.

Engine cleaning - I use a universal engine de-greaser from Wilkinsons, or just a can of WD40. They both do the trick. I also use WD40 on wheels and most other things too lol.

From my reading the seals are better on the x-ring chains so I went for a DID gold one - still got the same one since fitting in 2007. Look after it and it looks after you :D

The lack of cush drive doesnt really come into it, I think the stock chain is an O ring if you wanna copy.

I use Fedoro pads on my bike. No complaints :)

Tyrewise - in my opinion, 090's are fine.. if you dont do massive miles and like super sticky but gone in 3000miles tyres.

I use my NC for my 46 mile commute to work 5 days a week - the BT92 is king in this camp. They worked pretty well at a track evening I went to as well!
