just recently brought my fizzer but sadly it needs restricting

does anyone have one/know where i can get one cheap as i dont want to pay 250 to buy one from fi.

We probably do things differently here in Australia, but don't you have to have the restriction noted on your registration.
If so and you stick them in yourself how do you prove it to your transit authority?

where exactly are these bikes restricted, The jap RRSP that i have will rev, when stationery, but wont go past think it is 10k revs when riding!
I had a look at the carbs, that are flatsides, but didnt see anything unusual


I thought it was restricted in either the rev counter, or the (ECU) ?

there is a speed restriction (180 kph) but also the revs are limitted in the ecu i think to about 14k, so 10k is a bit wierd, maybe its not jetted right?

Check the wiring behind the speedo - if it's been butcherred or the speedo doesn't work the cdi will restrict the bike to 12,500 in all gears
