Turning a FZR into a streetbike?

Post by tom4 »

hello

I would like to fit a "superbike kit" on my fzr 400, just like the germans sometimes do:
keeping the fairing, but fitting a wide handlebar.

LSL does some nice kit for many bike, but not for the 400 fzr

if somebody ever done this, please help :)

You could drill the yoke and bolt on some risers and the style of bar of your choice. Ideally once youv'e mocked it up and bolted the risers on, get them welded so they are sold. This is an easy and cheap option and you can hack off the ignition mount and polish the yokes if you wanted. Granted you would then have to relocate the ignition but it gives the long distance impression of a custom top yoke slab.

Be careful the bars levers and switchgear don't touch the bodywork as it's a MOT fail.

Good job we won the war isn't it
