Gearing information for FZR400 with 600 engine

Have just returned from a day at Cadwell with my new toy - a 600 engined 1WG model.
The main problem I need some advice on is the gearing - the bike pulls so hard it has run out of revs in sixth half way along the straights.
It catches everything up in the bends though and I gave a guy on a CBR600 a good run for his money!
The only mod I've done so far is to fit an R6 rear shock. The front fork seals had packed up by the end but I was going to change the oil anyway...
Anyone out there got any gearing experience?
