Allmost a perfect trackday apart from.....

Just almost had a perfect trackday. It was an open pittlane at Cadwell.
Well the day started from the off as a crashfest with someone falling off in front of me at the old hairpin on the first sighting lap and pretty much thats how most the morning went with the track being closed every 5 mins with people falling with cold tyres.
Well wanting to make the most of the tracktime i decided to take both my Aprilia and hybrid. I had decided to take out the aprilia first. After 10 laps i noticed my left foot was slipping from the footrest. On returning to the paddock i found my foot had oil on it as did the side of the bike. Turned out that the oil tank had developed a hairline crack. Luckily no oil had leaked onto the rear or the track!
I then went out on the hybrid. Had avery lucky save at mansfield. I lost the front and some how kind off fell under the bike. The footrest kind of rested on my shin and with my toe and knee down (and all my weight on it) the front just came back and lifted me up on the seat. I was amazed!
The rest of the day went well untill i had to ride through the flames of an exploding bike that had gone down in front of me on the blind bit off Hall bends. Lucky again for me that it was on fire otherwise i would have not seen it was down and run straight into it. All looked quite spectacular.
No more probs on track after that.
Really thought someone was watching over me. But then leaving the paddock i caught one of the woodern posts, damaging the side of my van that is only 2 days old! Bollocks!!!
Still, had an awesome time on track and got some awesome photos.
