Help Needed PLEASE

Post by bladerunner »

Hi
just looking for some info.
I bought my first NC30 3 days ago (after waiting a long time).
It was registed with DVLA in 1996 declared manufactured in 1995. I don't have the log book as the dealer sent it off (i have my part of it though).

1. How do I find out exactly what model it is? ie when it was manufactured (for buying parts etc)
2. For the imported bikes - is it a massive difference with parts ie Spark Plugs etc, chain & sprocket set?

Hope somebody can help.

thanks again

pretty much they are the same bike from 89 -94 or whenever they stopped making them,early 89-90 bikes had shite jetting,nonadjustable forks and shock and the later better suspension(but still crap) and.....not much else

look under the pillon seat for the paint code,sometimes you'll find the sticker there with the model code on it,also the frame niumber ,nc30-10**** then in later years nc30-11****
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

royster has hit the nail on the head..........not much between them for parts except for carburetor components etc.and later forks,thats usually a indication to whether its a later year bike.
initial engine no. 89 r3k model=nc13e-12
90/91 r3l model=nc13e-130
92 on r3n model=nc13e-14
frame number
r3k=nc30-100
r3l=nc30-105
r3n=nc30-110

i would imagine yours will be the last of the models wich is the r3n 92 onwards model. :D :D
please,god,....give me the chance to prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me!!!

A haynes manual will help you out in regards to these questions, it should be part of every nc owners kit!

I ordered the manual from haynes 2 days ago but needed to order some other stuff first and didn't want to get it wrong.

she is in pieces now as we speak waiting for some much needed attention. wish me luck guys, i'm gonna need it LOL
