Hi folks,
this is going to be a silly one i know

so i rebuilt my forks, everything went swimingly, only issue i have is:
How the fu(k do i get the dust seals to stay down?!?!?!?!?!

Oil seals are fine, just no matter what i use, the dust seals will always slide up the forks as they compress,
after every ride, i slide them back down. Worried about contaminents getting in!
Who's re-built their forks, what did u use?
Its a VFR400 Nc300 if that helps, conventional forks.

I just done this job on the race bike and they seem alright but I havent ridden it yet, try a bit of oil aroud the lips to let the stancion slide easier

The oil and dust seals are both a tight fit to get in and out, I use the Honda seal driver to install both.

If your dust seals are loose, they are not fully in, the wrong type, crooked or upside down.

Dave.

If they won't stay in use some PTFE Tape.
