My thoughts exactly mate. It's like the HRC crank that's on there, don't worry about HRC not making an NC crank (they just shave 2mm off the top of the lobes of a standard crank and balance it)

I can't be certain that the nc30 hrc cams had their backlash gears removed. Knowing how pedantic honda are they probably left them on to avoid any sort of adjustment issues.

Do any of the RC expert crowd know if these gears are present on the rc30 and rc45 kit cams?

Yep, there was heaps of hrc gear offered for these models. FWIW, the nc21/24 kit cams had less inlet lift than std nc30 cams...

Both HRC kit cams for the RC30 and RC45 come without backlash gears.

The NC30 HRC TT-F3 cams are the same and come without.
