hiya, I have two bubbles that have appeared over a couple of months on the side of my tank, they actually seem to be growing as well

Im not sure why they are there (can only assume its either rust or heat related) but what I want to know is does anyone know what they are or how i can get rid of/at least stop them growing,
Cheers!
the scratching is there because I binned it about a week after I got it
and the hole in the bottom one was put there by myself to try and 'relieve' the pressure although it didnt work

Looks like a new paint job on that in the end, but my guess would be it could be that it wasn't treated properly wen it was painted or you have a rusted/pin hole on the inside and could make its way out like that. You will only know if you start sanding it

thought as much to be honest, I dont really want to sand it down as I know I wont be able to get a good finish without repainting the whole tank. The tanks dented anyway so Its new tank jobby so I will probably just leave it and keep an eye on the inside of the tank to check its not going to split!
I am sure its an NC29 tank anyway, its a different shape to the NC30 one and is identical to the NC29 I looked at before I bought the VFR

Well I might be wrong but it looks like the tanks been sprayed by the previous owner so it could just be the case that he was a lazy git

you should be able to get a NC30 tank on ebay and wen you do it always a good idea to give the tank a good rinse cause you don't want to filth up the carbs

I get smaller bubbles in my castrol paint job, they only appear when its cold,i think its moisture under the paint.
