Throttle cables
After cleaning the carbs i went to put the carbs back on. Before refitting the carbs i tried to refit the throttle cables to no avail.
I tried and tried and tried but did not manage to do it. Leaving me angry and frustrated!
Is the a knack to making them fit? Any tips?
Thanks.

Re: Throttle cables
It can be a bit fiddly. No knack to it, just patience. A screwdriver can sometimes help in trying to get it in the right position.
I don't use a return cable because it saves having to put it back on when the carbs have been off. Now you can see why!

Re: Throttle cables
Are you fiiting the cables before fitting the carbs in the rubbers? I found this the easiest way. Rotate the carbs clockwise as you lokk down on them 30 degrees or so to give you slack cable to work with, hook up the cables, fit the cable retaining plate and tighten both screws and then fit the carbs into the rubbers.. It worked for me but was a bit fiddly...

Not sure if there is a 'technique' as such - just get 'em on there!
But it does help if you get rid of the return cable!
