I bought headlight on the bay but when it arrived there was not bubble wrap around it just the the box ... it was broken. Not great when when I paid £14 for p'n'p.

I complained but didn't really get anywhere he doesn't want to be out of pocket over the p'n'p .... anyway.

I got this as a second chance item so I had a little look on the items he's sold and there seems to be a few bids on all of them ... go a futher and it looks like the same bidder (they have 114 bids, 86% are with this seller). That could be explained by somebody buying up 3TJ stuff, but he also sold a jack hammer pick up only ... and the same bidder bid that up too.

You think your having crap luck with ebay. The 600 forks arrived from the states last week $122us dollars plus $109 postage. only took 8 days and well packed.
No rust and no leaks or wear around the seals. I was most happy until I fitted them and went to put on the wheel. I has a 10mm gap between the hub and the fork. I was thinking I had left off a spacer or something. Took the forks off the bike and stuck the bottom on a vise be the caliper tabs and turned the fork tube around and found the left fork bent by 10mm and the right by 2mm

He must of known they were out when he sold them. Go through the dispute proceedure and see what you get .... if it's paypal you're more likely to get more back.

As for the forks they can probably be rolled straight again, but it's time and money.

If you did not sign for the item then claim it was not received and start a Paypal dispute. It's the easiest way to get your money back

I started a dispute anyway ... using "not as described"
He reported me for inapropriate comunication ... he's braking a bike and I asked for some pics his fairings.

That's when I checked his feed back and found listings with the same stats. It's usually the second bidder. So I reported that as well - which means loosing my dosh completely.

Well I had a OK outcome. The forks cost me $122.50 (not including the postage) and was offered a $50 refund because one fork was unusable. I replies saying the $61.25 would be a more appropriate refund (cost of one fork).
Today the $61.25 turned up in my paypal account.

I'd have thought both the forks were unusable ... ie not straight.

One was 2mm out but useable (in a pinch) the other has a 5mm bend in it and would make the bike behave very funny.
The guy could have asked me to return the forks before providing the refund, so I am happy with the 1/2 refund. I am looking at places that do fork straightening at the moment.
