opinions please ?
ebay item number 260452535120 fairing set
pranged bike last week seen these anybody had any dealings with seller ?
how would you rate them any probs regards fit paint etc
a few people have messaged seller about them but answers seem a bit vague
they wont be up to original panels standard but may be worth a hit at price.

Re: opinions please ?
mixed opions on this one. Myself I would not go near them as I have come across too many people who have had bad kits from these sellers most of whom change their accounts when they get bad feedback.
It all depends on your budget though and how long you plan on keeping the bike if you are planning on keeping the bike for a few years it would be best to get some descent pannels either GRP or scratched originals and have it painted the way you want. If you are planning on only having the bike a shrt time then these will make the bike look ok for resale. Dont forget though that if your tank is a differnt colour then you will need this painting to match.

Re: opinions please ?
gavin can see where your coming from. looks close to the type 3 scheme on bike at moment the nosecone on mine is repairable and left mid lower and tail fairing are badly scraped and split got various panels in type 6 paint scheme in various states of repair/disrepair and guess most of the folk here would say its the way to go keeping original panels. just wondered if they were worth going for as a fix in the meantime or as you say from experience they really are that bad . unsure if the seller doesn't understand english fully or if he is waffling
so might steer clear unless somebody proves otherwise thanks.

Re: opinions please ?
Will let you know... This is the scheme I was after and had no fairings at all for the project... Had quotes around £300 for aftermarket unpainted fairings so thought I'd take a gamble on this one. Ordered it just over a week ago now and no sign yet but will keep you posted...

Re: opinions please ?
Righto, I bought my nose cone from the very same seller, the service was very good, he gave me a tracking number and shipping didnt take long, the item was £80 and the shipping cost him £58 alone to give you some idea of how little money he is making on it.
The plastics are a lot thinner than the standard OEM fairings but without going up and flexing them you wouldnt know, the spraying isnt the best but for the money I really cant complain, if you want the bike looking mint get some proper fairings, if you just want it to look good but not amazing then these are the ones to get

Re: opinions please ?
It will do but I doubt it will last 20yrs like some OE panels have!
Get a clear screen and all would be right..

Re: opinions please ?
I agree these wont come close to OE but fit the budget.. Its a way of getting the bike back on the road without incurring a divorce!
I requested the clear screen option too as think the blue looks crap... Will see what happens when they arrive... Not had a tracking no. sent yet so gonna chase that up today but will try and post some decent resolution pics when they arrive to try and settle the Chinese Fairing debate for good!

cannot disagree with you on that cmsmj1 , but with oe panels seem to find stress cracks appearing probably due to uv light hot/cold temperatures etc as they become aged over the years despite careful alignment when fitting them on bike, would be a bit reluctant to spend a wad getting a good paint job done on them only to find cracks appearing after a short while due the plastics degrading with age
the set on bike at moment was sorted out by kermit and lasted very well but despite him doing a top job of repairs once you repair one point another point becomes the weak point i guess. looking forward to growlers perspective on the set he's awaiting

I took the blue screen but regret it now! I bought a dark tinted black one to replace it, my figuring was that the clear screen would clearly show any of the blemishes in the plastic
