Juddering Under Breaking

I've had this juddering under breaking for a while now, my immediate thoughts were discs, so i used this as an excuse to spend £300 on the front breaks. (Re-conditioned calipers, new pads, EBC pro-lites, goodridge hoses)

I did notice i have a flat spot on my front wheel too so I've recently purchased a very good condition front wheel from matty as well, which is yet to be fitted, along with some new front wheel bearings from Rick. (Im holding off on fitting these until my current front tyre needs to be replaced)

The front tyre has been on the bike for just over 2 years too. Also the headrace bearings are sweet so no issues there.

I was just wondering what else could be the cause if the wheel/bearings/tyre replacment doesn't work. I.e front suspension? rear shock?

The front forks havn't been re-conditioned since new, and its at 34k miles at the moment.

Any hints, tips, been there got the t-shirt stories, would be greatly appreciated as i just want to get this sorted.

Head bearings?

Does it do it from speed only or is it a warped disc feeling? At all speeds?

If it is a fluttering kind of affair when you brake from speed and then it kind of lessens as you stop then I'd go for the head bearings.

Its worse at higher speeds and the harder i pull on the brake lever the worse it gets generally.
It's very similar to the feeling of warped discs to be honest.

Head bearings?
what are these :| lol sorry

Does the brake lever pulsate,if it does it's discs,if not it's probably head bearings.

These are the ones that hold the forks in the frame where your yokes are. When they are loose you have problems..

Get them nipped up matey..you'll need the front off the ground to make sure you don't go too tight and get nothcy bearings.

easy and free to check it ;)
