I've finally got back to the FZR project after a short stint sorting out my commuter.

Does anyone know what size carb end throttle pull cable nipple is needed for 3TJ carbs?

I'm making up a single replacement pull cable to replace the push/pull system and none of the nipples I have are the right size.

I don't have the 3TJ original cable to compare. Basically, I've got 3TJ carbs on my EN2.

If nobody knows the nipple size, would someone with a spare set kicking about mind measuring the carb end pull cable nipple dimensions for me? - Or, better still anyone with a workshop kit who wouldn't mind posting the right one in exchange for a beer token.

why not just measure the diameter of the 'hole' it sits in?

Because the carbs are a total bastard to remove! and get back on the rubbers.


Plus, it's the length that's out, the D is fine.

good job ive got a set off the bike and possibly a spare cable somewhere then! i'll have a look see tomorrow!

had a bit of a measure up and it was 7.5mm longest and 6mm diameter with the cable fixed dead centre.
