Exhaust, but which one?

Hi guys,
Been looking for an exhaust but not sure which one to get. Been looking at ones from Scorpion, Beowulf, ART, Laser and Blueflame but is there any real difference between them? At the moment i'm leaning towards a Scorpian can.
i wanted primarily to get a better sound but not sure which to look at. Also they all state that the carbs won't need rejetting but is this true?
Sorry if this is a repeat thread but i couldn't find anything on the search i did.

Also i have another question about the exhaust fitted to mine. It's a standard one but from the looks of it it's already been cut, would you guys agree?
If it has does that mean i just need to take the exhaust off and fit on a new one?
Sorry if it's an obvious question this NC30 is my first bike and not done this stuff before.....

yip, that is the original exhaust but it has been cut already and a kind owner put on a bit of a sleeve so it could be re attatched. just measure the diameter of the can and go searching. personally i think scorpion has the best bark but i have herd people on here say good things about the blue flame too

how would you get that one off then? mine looks the same looks likea sleeve has been welded to the can and put over the pipe
*edit just been outside and it is infact a slip on :D this makes things easier and harder because I have to find an exhaust and make a slip on collar?

my nc30 is the same ie the previous owner had cut the pipe for a aftermarket silencer to be fitted then welded a sleeve on the original can to refit and thats what i have on there now. Im in the market for a scorpion or some sort of aftermarker can, and ive measured the pipe diameter at 60mm OD. a lot of the cans available seem to come with 50mm sleeves. whats my options?
sorry to thread jack but i think we are after the same outcome?

A couple of years ago I stuck a Nikon racing exhaust on my NC35. They are loud(i mean, gp bike loud) but if thats your cup of tea they have an amazing tone. To fit the NC35 I had to get a flange made up at my local engineering place and you could do the same on the NC30, allowing pretty much any bolt-on can you fancy to be fitted.

Yea mines the same, the issue being that even if you can get a sleeve the correct size it needs to be bent as the NC30 exhaust has a bend in it, so what we want is a 60mm inner diameter to go over the downpipe with the correct bend and a 49mm outer at the other end so a pipe can be slipped over the end, just dont know where I would get a pipe the correct shape from!

Seems like a fairly common question then.......
So if a sleeve has been fitted to the original pipe already if i removed the curren exhaust (with a aleeve fitted to that) would the replacement exhause not just slide on (if the diameter is the same)?
Can't see why adapter sleeves etc are needed unless of course the diameter of the pipes are different......
Just got myself an as new Scorpion exhaust off ebay for £50 so looking to get this fitted once i receive it

becauase all aftermarket exhausts have a straight exits, if you look at the nc30 can its got a kink, if you attach a straight can onto the down pipe your exhaust will be stickign straight up in the air, also most exhausts (i.e all slip ons) have a 50mm exit, that pipe is 60mm so youll need an adapter pipe to fit it anyway

ahhhh right, i see what you mean now.......damn
Well the exhausts supplied directly from Scorpian new for the NC-30 are avertised as being supplied with the link pipes, so contacting them to buy one of those should solve it no?
If not i have the feeling i'll have a nice as new Scorpian can sitting in my garage looking shiney for a while......
