nylon ring on the damper rods are worn
I believe why my forks dive so badly is that the nylon ring on the damper rods are worn.
Problem is that I will not bow down to Yamaha and buy new damper rods when all is
required is to replace the nylon ring.
So I seek your (400greybike) help in finding a solution. HELP!
On a side note the following bikes use the same 38mm bushes as the fzr
Suzuki
RM465 (81)
RG500 (85-89)
Kawasaki
VN750 Vulcan
GPZ900R (84-89)
Yamaha
XV700 Virago (84-87)
XJ600s (92-97)
Honda
XR250r (84-85)

Re: nylon ring on the damper rods are worn
You could get a machine shop to turn up some new ones out of nylon rod stock, There are some "self lubing PTFE" types I think.
