Hiya, riding my restricted vfr today and noticed that under hard acceleration the bike seems to hesitate slightly (which I put down to it beign restricted) but looking at the rev counter it seemed to stop then fly up about 4k stop and fly up and wave around erratically? anyone seen this before or know what it might be, also does anyone know an easy way to get the front wheel in the air? I had my tyres done on friday and the bloke took the calipers off to do it, now they seem to be making a clicking sound when moving and I want to check whether it is the wheel,

If you rev it to 14 thou rpm while stationery then pop the clutch out that ought to do it...

So i tried that and the wheel did go up in the air but the bike flew overbackwards and now its broken

my mate had this problem but on his renault clio, yeah destined to go wrong...however!...

it was only when he got really low on fuel and the sensors in the fuel tank gave off wrong signals making the tacho go batty. so, using logic (limited but still enough to get me through the day partialy safely) id be guessing its electrical

have you checked all its connections? what about the battery is it going flat, or is your reg/rec on its way out? if that thing gets hot enough to cook bratwurst its looking shot.

have a mosey around the bike and look in the electrics with detail. you should notice iregularities with them soon enogh if stuff iswrong.

Bikes in the shop atm waiting for the wheel bearings, I have ordered a new reg rec, my battery is new but the reg rec isnt putting out quite as much as it should, ill be popping off the earth connecters cleaning them up etc and will see if that helps!
