First post on here so hi to all.

Well, the missus just got herself a mint 1993 CBR400 for her first bike and seeing as though she is doing her lessons at the moment I had to ride it back. The first time I've ridden one and holy cow it's fun to ride. Quite a change from my R6. Think I'm hooked on them now, already been looking on Ebay for a project bike and for upgrades for her one!!!

Just stumbled across these pics of a CBR400 with a 2007 CBR600RR fairing on and was wondering if anyone had done this or have any info at all on the mods required to fit one.

Found this site http://www.nicecycle.com that sells after market fairings and will also paint them to whatever colour scheme you like, from any bike from any year etc, which may or may not be a bonus depending on how many mods you have to make to get them fitted. Also, from the site that sells the fairings it appears that the fairing set included a tank cover which has been included on the modded bikes above, can see this potentially being a problem area, although I would imagine the CBR400 tank is smaller that the 600 which would obviously be easier to fit than the other way around!

Not too keen on the shape of the front end and lights on the Tyga and K-Conversions fairings so definitely keen on trying to fit different one.

Your thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated before I get the idea of changing to one of these fairings set in my head!!!

Cheers

Dave

im currently fitting these fairings to my bike but i have gone for race fairings as it would get very exspensive and a lot more complicated using the original lights, have a look at my post in the general section under new project

Thanks for that, hadn't factored in the cost of the lights too. One benefits of the Tyga/K conversions kits. Do you think there would be restricted space to fit the 600's headlight unit?

my other bikes got the k-conversions fitted and it is a very tight fit with the lights the main problem you would get would be the clock and light bracket you would have to make from scratch and getting the lights to line up, im fitting an after market light into the air intake on the race plastics, also don't go for a painted set you need to cut some small bits off the fairings to get them to fit
