Fuel tap

Hi,

The OH's NC£0 has been having a few probs of late cutting out randomly.

The mechanic thinks to do with the fuel tap as we had a new patent diamphragm fitted which is not sealing properly thus starving the bike of fuel - we got the diaphragm from a specialist carb place but when we received this kit the actual kit was slightly different to the one removed - however the part we needed seemed ok and was fine up until recently.

A new fuel tap is pricey so does anyone esle know where else we can get the bits to get this fixed once and for all?

Thanks

you can remove the fuel tap vacuum setup all together if your a little technically minded.

removes the need for having a vacuum line, but takes away its advantage as a safety feature.

heres a link, have a gander for yourself my friend :)

The HRC tap mod is not a good idea for a road bike.

The genuine Honda tap rebuild kit (that`s the one with the parts which actually fit) is £34 and I have them in stock...

Thanks for the link - I have seen this pop up a few times on various google searches but share the same concerns as RickOliver re doing this on a road bike.

Thanks for this - I am looking to pick up a second hand fuel tap but if I need a repair kit i'll be sure to let you know - when we originally repaired the diamphragm Honda said they didnt do repair kits!
