This job is a bitch. Just did mine last week on a rvf after doing the valves. What a pain. A 7mm socket will fit onto the screws you need to turn. On carbs 2/4 the screws are really close together. I used 1/4" 7mm socket and fit that onto another socket so it would reach up into the srews. Then put a leather glove on the engine and just shoved my hand in on top of the glove. Just follow the haynes manual there on. I pulled the vacuum line off while doing carbs 1/3, was plenty of juce in them to do it. Then put the vac line back on and balanced 1 to 2/4. Saved having to set up a vacuum. Someone on here might have a better way of doing it. Bike runs great now. Good luck with it!

+1 on what Neosophist says.

The Haynes details the synchronisation procedure in detail. If memory serves correctly, No 3 carb has no adjuster fitted so the others are set to match.
A set of gauges will be needed too. Morgan carbtune are well recommended and you can get them at the same time as the angle driver shown above.

or take the aluminium base of the carbs and you can get through that way. You have to do it with the airbox off though mind. And keep starting and stopping the bike as you have to turn the throttle linkage to get to the adjusting screws.
