SP2 Brake Calipers - Should I match the master cylinder

Post by RichardB »

My Son has a RVF that came with Honda SP2 front calipers fitted. Would it be advisable to fit the matching master cylinder ?

Does anyone know if the 929/954 Fireblade has the same master cylinders as the SP2

Many thanks

yes and yes.

The std m/c will be squidgy and feels horrible..

I used CBR600FX calipers and a 1999 blade m/c on mine
IMPERATOR REX ANGLORUM

The V4 is the law..

The radial master cylinders of a 2004 r1 and r6 and onwards works very well also as it is 16mm so is a good match for sp1/2 calipers. Its what i run and the brakes are superb, very strong but progressive.
