Got my custom ally tank back (for the 2nd time) after I gave the builder some bad measurements first time around and the fake TCAT tank cover didn't clear the tank!

Now it all fits, but I want to look at swapping my DIY shelled out Thundercat fake tank cover (made buy gutting a real TCAT tank to make a shell), for a carbon copy.

Any ideas on doing your own carbon parts or anyone who would make one from a pattern for something slightly less than a second mortgage! - would be appreciated.

...or am I just dreamig now!

Seems to be a one man band and responds quickly to enquiries. He has parts available for Honda V4's and Im pretty sure if you send him something he will copy it and make it in Carbon for you.

Just a little thing ... why not channel yourself towards getting the engine running now. You'll find it will move the project on and you'll be able to show the missus something

This is great, I got a quote from Carbon Infinity, £450. I genuinely didn't know what to expect, but that's apparently a good price - although way beyond what I can afford.

Then I read the DIY link and started doing some searches under DIY Carbon.

I think I'm going to buy one of their starter kits and practice at making a battery box and one or two smaller items first. For now I'll stick with my current tank cover until I can afford the material and have had some practice.
