NC23 When does your cooling fan cut in.

Evening,

At what point does your cooling fan cut in on the NC23? My bike was not quite in the red on the gauge today and still the fan was not turning.

Also has anyone just fitted a bypass switch? This is a tempting proposition as I spend a lot of time in town.

mine kicks in quite close to the red, i have thought about fitting a switch, pretty grim getting red hot air blown into your face at the lights!
(probly worth checking it works also)

Mine has never kicked in yet, but also never seen the temp gauge go past half way on mine.

If your bikes temp is getting up there often rather than just wire the fan on I'd suggest trying to cure the problem. Flush your coollent system out, if the fins are blocked up on the outside, take the radd off and saok it in some appropriate degunk and clean all the crap fom the cooling fins. Also there's a product think it's called water wetter theat helps your coolng system disapate heat better I used it on my drift mx5 that used to get hot allot and made a big improvment
