NC24 end can options

Post by Pansy »

Hi,
I've looked for a topic covering this, but have had no luck :?

I'm after an end can for my NC24, as it is still fitted with the standard exhaust which I'd like to change.
I know there's a scorpion can available for the NC, but wondered if there was any alternatives that would also fit.
Also I was planning on cutting off the standard pipe as close to the silencer as possible, so I could fit the new one fairly easily (I hope!).

Anyways, any advice would be helpful thanks

Keep looking on ebay for some speciality Japanese exotica, I got a Coerce half-system for about £60 which runs round the left side of the bike, exposing the rear wheel in all its glory. Ebay's really the best bet, people break bikes regularly and you'll probably pick up a bargain. If it's not street legal you can get a DB killer to get it through it's MOT.

Thanks, yeah, I was aiming to find something on ebay - just wanted to know if there were any which would definitely fit the NC without too much trouble. I didn't want to buy something which I later found was totally unsuitable and I wouldn't be able to just add it on to the bike fairly simply (I know some work will need to be done, though) and without the price of replacing the entire system after I've hacked it to bits lol

...and I'm not too fussed about the noise, its for a track bike

There are a few half systems that come up from time to time I've not seen much as exotic as mine though ;) it's full aluminium, very light and loud as you like!

It's not worth touching anything from the collector box forward and don't you even dare cut the collector, they're getting pretty rare and it's not the done thing to chop them about! There were quite a few companies in Japan making aftermarket exhausts for the NC24, have a look out for these on ebay, might be worth doing a 'saved search' so that if anything with 'NC24 exhaust' comes on, ebay will send you an email to let you know.

Viper do an end can , I have one of their oval stainless ones !
Never tried it on the bike ( coz the collector is rotten )

Debating whether to fit it to my 21 or run 2 bikes or mod the 21 with more 24 bits !

Choices choices eh ! lol

Sticking to fixing my FZR750 first ! God I need a bike for this summer ! lol

You can get a link pipe from the collectorbox to the endcan for about £30 I think scorpion make one, MTC do, and a few other compaies, it then allows you to fit pretty much any slip-on can you want.

Not got any pics taken, it's not currently on the bike. I'm going to put it on after the MOT :P I'll post a pic up then.
