FZR400 EN2 - swapped clocked - have an M Max box - help?

Post by uniquefzrfreak »

I've got an M Max box plugged in-between the connector blocks on the back of my clocks (don't know if it works). I've just swapped my clocks for a custom speedo. Everything is rewired into the new speedo/dash thing, but one of the connectors going to the M Max disappears into the back of the original clocks, behind a plastic plug/cap.

Any recommendations on how to proceed would be much appreciated... i.e.

Do I need to keep the M Max and open the original clocks and dig out the wires to keep them in the loop?

Do I ditch the M Max and just cut the wires off where they go into the back of the original clocks etc?

Basically, I want to keep the bike derestricted. (not that I've had it running yet).

Thanks.

- It's both, I've got the stock EN2 engine and CDI fitted.

Until the bike runs it won't matter the bike will still run. The derestriction is at 112mph remember.
