Quill Stainless Full Twinstack

Post by alexwitham »

I've Managed to locate a bargain on a Handmade Quill Stanless Steel Full System, with Twin End Cans (also in Stanless).

Has anyone used? seen? herd of these systems, they are for sale on ebay at £425 including postage! this seems so cheap, needless to say i rang Quill to find out. They said they made £2500 worth of stock initially for JAP4PERFORMANCE and Gavin at JAP let them down and went to TYGA (i have confirmed this with a friend in the know). So the low price seems feesable.

I just wanted to know if anyone has ever fitted one? or know if they bolt straight on? The guys at Quill are NOT offering guartantee, so this is making me a little scepticle about purchasing the system.

Please help, thanks guys

I have seen them at the motorbike show and was ont overly impressed. It is a bargain price though.

If you are local, go nad have a look at them first.

Gav @ Jap4 is on here..perhaps he'll give us an idea why he went cold on them?

Dont like the look of them myself, could look nice if you resleved the cans in carbon or TI but thats extra expense

I reckon Gav changed his mind for obvious reasons.....the Quill systems were gash compared to the Tyga. lol
I've got Gav to put me aside a tyga system just incase i buy one (which im 50-50 about at the moment), and in all honesty, he is a top bloke, he gave me loads of advice and was dead helpful, so  for the great service at JAP4.

Ive seem Rick Olivers Twinstack Tyga setup and its totally mega in all honesty, its just the price im concerned about, at the end of the day, its a 20 year old bike with a 50,000km engine, is £620 worth it for an exhaust system???

Im so in two minds about changing expensive bits on the NC, for all i know, i may get other mechanical problems which will mean more money =(

Any opinions? Is it worth getting a full system for road use? Or just an end can?

The dilemma im facing is my 'collars' on my original system are knackered, (under the bottom of the bike) they need chopping and replaced by a small section of stainless. Its about £80 to get this repaired, and i dont know whether to buy a new system of just repair my old one?

help me lol.
for your enjoyment, here is a pic of the Quill twin stack. (on ebay)

i think you'd be happier with the tyga's, that pic of the quil cans looks worse than i remember them, they dont even exit at the right angle.

ive nothing against quil tho, had a TI can of theirs on a CBR 6 i once had, top quailty and sounded the nuts
